Guidance for a benchtop power supply for car amp

I'm looking for a power supply for my garage bench to run one or more car amps and was wondering which way to go, I have three scenarios. The amps I'm planning on using are Hifonics Gemini VII and Hercules VII .

1) A high output switching power supply such as the Samlex RSP-1000-12 60 amp http://www.samlexamerica.com/products/productdescription.asp?ProductsID=600594

2) A Samlex SEC-1245A battery charger http://www.samlexamerica.com/products/productdescription.asp

3) A 550CCA+ car battery hooked up to a Salmex SEC-1245A battery charger (option 2).

They will not be used for more than 2 hours at a time and maybe longer when there's a house party. I'll be using it for testing purposes as well from time to time.

I was told the best bang for the buck is the pyramids, if you can get them there. Might be better to get one that can do ~13.5v or be adjusted to that. I'm not sure about getting the ripple out of a battery charger someone here may know.

I used some computer power supplies to power my car audio amp for my home subs. Works good and was easy to make. Just match the amperage ratings from the computer power supply to how much the car amp will draw. You can hook a few computer psu's together for a cheaper solution.

it has 2x 12v rails each about 20A. So 2 of these together will do 80A or 80Ax12V= 960W. Not bad for $60. You can lookup the mod but its pretty easy. Just open up the psu's, cut all the wires away you dont need, just leaving the grounds and the +12V leads, attach them all together for both psu's and your good to go.
