I was going for a more fuel efficient setup.
when I earn enough money, I'll be getting a good single 10" or 12" that can handle this amp.my candidates are DD 2512a and IDmax 12V3. planning an SQ setup that can kick butt when called upon. |

Hi
I still have 2512a, just to say I ain't going off from DD ever , only up in size and class, now I'm on 3515d...I think I will stay here for long time, this sub is crazy and I don't think I even push it with 1kw... you got to get one of this...but I guess 15" are out, only 10" and 12". Maybe you should go for 3x 1508 or something like that...see this and one with 2512aIf you would make box with slot port something like I did , it will kick as hell |

I like DD also and I'm not questioning if it will go loud. I know it WILL be loud.
I just like the low frequency extension of the IDmax. but with 1kW and the probability of running at high power for long periods, I think I'm leaning more on DD. I think we're going off topic here.

Hi
A bit, I don't mind DD's have huge excursion, but what I love about them is their cooling power, you can abuse it as crazy and it will work fine. Do you have any link of other sub you are talking about, I don't know it

Hi
As far as I know it is 750w, but if you wan't to drive it properly you have to put 1.5kw on it...and people do...my was not moving that much with ~800w it really wanted more and more power

I think I'm going to add the FI SSD12" to my list.
![]() 1.5kw might be pushing it. it will not die instantly but the suspension will get limp sooner than I'd want to so 1kw should be just right.

Hi
I wouldn't believed it if I wouldn't have it. Where in most subs you have to look at RMS value so that you don't destroy sub, you have to look at music power with DDs. Friend of mine put good 2kw on 2515a it was short time only 10s but sub toke that power. Ofcourse he did blow that speaker later on when he pushed it several minutes with that power. Read forums about DD speakers... also I like FI ,but I probably couldn't get them here...and they are cheap compared with how good they are |

all that has to wait. I have to test this amp first. when this is completed, then we start looking for the sub.
