Hello!
Two of the DC-DC drive Fets is smoked in my Alpine MRV-1505 amp MTAJ30N06E is the part number. Cant find this part anywhere, here is a datasheet. www.itxpress.se/3006.pdf What Fet could i replace those with? Some IRF maybe? There must be parts with much better specifications since this is an quite old amp. I know to look for Max voltage and Max DC/Peak Current. What more Important specs should i look at compared from the datasheet? Im not so familiar with Fets so some help finding a good replacement would be nice. The Fets (6 of them paralelled) are driven by a IC. Schematic www.itxpress.se/mrv.pdf The Outputs read OK so i cant get why two of the Drive Fets smoked, maybe its no fault and they smoked from overheating? |

I use IRFIZ44Ns (note the second I) when I need fully encapsulated power supply FETs.
Look for broken solder connections in the drive circuit (IC to FET). Do this for both banks of FETs in the power supply.
