what is this.it says 50k on the board where is at.

NTC Thermistor
It's 50k ohms at 25C. As the temperature increases, the resistance decreases.

If the heatsink gets too hot its there to cut the power, and hopefuly save the amp from overload.
Sometimes it does, other times the overload is so bad that the transistors can fry before the heat soaks to the thermistor. John C. |
