Default worth building a PS or Voltage Doubler for this amp?

I was wondering how hard it would be for someone to build a PS or possibly a very simple voltage doubler to get this amp module to work in a car?

Sure-Electronics.com class d amps

It would seem to me like a worthwhile venture if it could be done cheaply for anyone who wanted multiple ch. of amplification in a car.

Depends. I've got that exact same amp module, and of you need the extra power, go for a doubler.

I managed to use the SMPS from an old broken car amp that gives out ~24v on each secondary, so I'm planning on mounting the sure module in the car amp case. I've tested it and it works real well.

That being said, if you don't need more than 30 or so watts per chan, just hook it up with no doubler, and you're set.

If you wanted to design a doubler from scratch, things may be more difficult - I recommend a push-pull design, make it so it will handle 10 amps or so and you should be good.
