have an older Eclipse 3422. It is a 4/3/2 channel amp. If I move the selector switch to the 2 channel option will this in affect be in a bridged mode? If not my installer wired the speakers to + and + and left the selector switch on 4 channel, is this correct?

all that the 2/4 channel switch does is parallels the inputs when in the 2 channel position. With it in 2 channel mode you only need to use 1 RCA cable (stereo cable) to get all 4 channels to play. Bridging the amp is achieved at the speaker terminals. They should be labeled.
