Rockford 1000BD NO AUDIO PLEASE HELP

Hi i have a rockford bd 1000 it has no AUDIO AT ALL i connect everything and everything seems fine right when i connect the remote wire i goes directly into protect mode . There is nothing melted or burnt inside the amp and i cant really figure out what is wrong any one have any ideas, Thanks for the help.

Normally, the protect light comes on initially and then goes out after a couple of seconds. Is your amp staying in protect for longer?

If so, is there any DC voltage across the speaker terminals?

What is the DC voltage across the red and black twisted wires?

Be careful when placing your probes. There is high voltage across the wires when the power supply is operating. Do not let the probes short between pads or to any of the jumper wires.

Yes it stays in protect mode, i am going to do what you said when i get to my friend(dont have any tools at my house) are there any other things that i should test if these show to be fine .

I read the website you provided and it sound like the ouput transistors . Do you know were this would be located on my rockford 1000 BD ??? So i can replace them and the value of them, Thanks Alot

Let's find out the overall condition of the amp. The questions I posted will point us in the right direction.

When working in the amp while it's powered up, you may want to use a 15-20 amp fuse in the B+ line to help protect the amp if you make a mistake.
