i did a search for this topic but i didn't find anything, although im sure im not the first to ask this question:
i want to control the gain of my car amp from inside the car (the amp is in the trunk). Can i just wire a pot to the RCA cable and use that??? or will it create a buzz? |

Radio Shack sells a stereo potentiometer that works great for this application. Part Number 271-1732.

thanks guys - but i was hoping just to use one of the pots that are lying around in my room. but if i have to build an active volume control then i wil probably just use a stereo opamp - just gotta figure out a way to make a voltage devider
