Orion Speakers

Hi -

Does anyone here use Orion speakers? I believe they are fairly high end, and certainly some of their pricier units look very well made.

Just looking for subjective experience - unless someone has measurements; I'm just looking for clean, clear, realistic sound - super high SPL is not necessary. I'm also interested in them because they are 3 ohm and should help me get a little more from my amp.

The newer orions are made by directed electronics. the quality seems ok but they are most likely more for looks and spl than sound quality and probably made in China. the older made in the USA orions like the old xtr's were very nice but finding them now may be hard.

i have heard that Fi car Audio has some nice subs out these days.

i stick to older stuff but these are supposed to be great subs.

Yeah I had a suspicion that the older stuff was better - there is some on eBay all the time.
