I decided to enter a local SPL competition (first one here in ages) but, they pretty much had no rules...
there were two classes, "novice" and "pro"... novice, is one 12inch sub, two 10inch subs, or less... pro, is anything more than that... walls are allowed, second batteries are allowed, engine is allowed to be reving to 2000rpm... so, friday morning, about 11am, a wall was started... the competition was saturday at 11am... 300litres, tuned to 35Hz... (edit, ended up being 330litres, tuned to 37Hz maybe a bit lower) second battery has been added (bolted to the passenger side floor) DD Z1 is running the subs ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Suspense is killing.. Also, would it not work better if the 'wall' was up the back ? Wouldn't that help with some sort of loading effect ? |

Isn't 35Hz low for SPL? If you had it tuned higher it would probably be more efficient and you'd get more SPL out of it. Good luck with it though and have fun

Also, would it not work better if the "wall" had speakers?

I think you are going to wake the kitten
Are you going to seal the cabin from the box back?
