Precision Power PCX2200

I have a stab at a buddies Precision Power PCX2200 amp. Has anyone ever used one of these amps. are the under rated? wanting it to run 2 subs only. Thanks.

I believe its rated at 50 watts by two channels into 4 ohms or 200 watts rms bridged into a 4 ohm mono load. It could probably run two efficient 10's in a ported box, but I wouldn't try to run 12's if you want it to sound good.

Box says 200@4ohm X 2. 400@2ohms X 2, and briged to 800 watts X 2. is this false?

That might be peak power. How long is the amp? I get the models confused since the later ones tend to use the maximum continous power as the model numbers. If its 200 by two into 4 ohms, then yeah.. its a powerful amp. I'm pretty sure it isn't 800 by two bridged, but it could be 800 watts bridged into a 4 ohm load. It would need to be around 18 inches long. What are the measurements?

That will drive two good 12's if it can produce 800 watts rms. You could even use a sealed box with the mininum airspace required by the subs. Did you get the amp?

I think I am going to go ahead and get it. He is holding it for me for now. He is asking $150.00 for it. and he will hook it up to prove it is not dead.
