If it's not one thing, it's another
Just when I think all is good with my system the amp started acting up this morning. I have a old school PPI Sedona Series 100ix...this morning I was driving into work, got on the interstate and cranked up the volume to the level I usually listen to which is 28 on my Kenwood HU and the bass sounded then went away and all I had was my highs. I turned the volume down and the bass cut in again and then stopped. I tried turning it up yet again and no bass. I decided to turn the HU off and back on and it finally stayed continuous with bass the rest of the way. I know there are no loose wires anywhere or anything like that and I was not able to see if the amp cut on or off being as I was going 70mph down the interstate and the amp is under the seat. I never had this happen before and the amp is over 10 years old now so I'm wondering if my amp is getting ready to go. Anyone have any ideas on this? I'll keep my eye on it to see if it happens again but it was weird...

sounds like a loose wire or the amp may be shutting down if the output is getting shorted somehow. You'll need to check all your cables and connections first.
