I'm not entirely clear what all is happening here, but I did have this issue with a car last year. I tossed in a system with an old 2x30w and a 2x75 bridged for a sub. The sub would bump on turn off of the key only, when radio was on. Well for this little rig I just stuck an 8ga into the fuse box for power to amps, and it was switched. That caused the amp to turn off via power loss instead of remote off. That was the entire issue. I swapped the power to an always hot source and it was fine.

These diodes will work with my method too. You could do this and just turn the key off but instead use the cap on the epic like I suggested.
