Adding external regulator to my Bosch alt
This is the large casing, 300A for my Pontiac Grand prix GTP. I bought an external regulator, you know the blue one with remote voltage dial. I need to know how to wire this puppy. The directions are vague and this alt has the regulator with the built in brushes so I will need to modify the regulator case ( remove chip and figure out contacts) in order to install. Anyone know what the outputs are for this regulator chip? I have seen commercially available adapters that look just like this regulator but has wire going to it that goes to the external unit. Any help would be greatly appreicated! Polo..
