I am trying to return this amp to life to use it in my car due to it's size (it fits perfectly!). And more time I spend on it, more problems I discover and less I want to drop this project...
The deal is: couple of blown FET's in class-D section, ALL blown FET's in both power supplies (I think this amp was killed twice lol), shorted rectifier and, of course, completely burned 4700/75 capacitor, which made it through the board with 2" hole in diameter Board is multi-layered, and traces inside the board are damaged too I did my best to restore them, but it's hard as hell.Amp now starts (both power supplies ok), slightly clicking relay and switching LED from orange to green. All outputs are not shorted. It is doing the same with driver boards removed. Is a schematic for this amp available? I already spent too much time on this project to abandon it |

If the power supplies are not shutting down, check the output of each channel to see if there is any reason for the amp to be going into protection. Look for DC offset on the output of each channel. If there were shorted outputs, look for damage to the overcurrent protection (generally a transistor and resistor across the emitter/source resistors They generally have a diode connected to ground also).
If there is no reason for the amp to go into protection, the problem is likely in the protection circuit.
