Well in my other post I indicated that my amp died due to water. It is a lanzar 360 watt amp (2 channel). I am probably going to upgrade my amp to a larger one and through in some better subs (the pyramid subs that came in the box suck ***) - don't laugh was trying to keep things within a budget, but cheap doesn't sound that good
If I can fix it I will probably through it in my wifes car with a small box in the trunk - though I know she won't go for that Or maybe sell it, or keep it on hand as an extra.I don't have an O-scope, but is it possible to trace it through with a top of the line voltmeter (does other stuff as well). If so where do I start and should I be looking for obvious things when I open it? Thanks. |

You need to pull the amp apart to determine if the board is salvagable. It couild be too badly corroded to repair. You need to remove the board so you can inspect both sides.
Before you begin, go to page 20 of my car audio site. It's a repair primer that I put together (still under construction). It will help familiarize you with an amplifier's general layout.
