Hello, im new to this forum!
i have been trying to design horns for sometime now. I tried to download the program here but it wouldn't work(said something about winzip). I am trying to design a rear loaded horn, using this calculator http://melhuish.org/audio/exphypcalc.html
though when it shows the numbers, i have no idea what im looking at. Can anyone help me determine the horn length? along with some other aspects.. I heard the length was 1/4 wavelength of cutoff frequency but im not for sure on that.
Thanks!

Hi farriswheel,
The calculator you are using is good, but only part of the story.
I recommend you try hornresp
have a look at Paul's excellent page here:
http://www.diyaudio.com/wiki/index.php?page=How+to+design+a+bass+horn+in+2+minutes!
hornresp is complicated but worth it if you wish to design a bass horn.
You could also look a my page which has some other info.

Have fun.
