Guys,
Is there a tool that is used for removing those black clips used to securing tranistors/mosfets to heatsinks? I have a few that I made, but doesn't do the trick for all the amps I service. Tom |

Available at Home Depot for about 6 dollars. Brand name Husky. Name of tool, cotter key removal tool. It is a 90 degree hook that with very simple modifications works great.
grind the sharp point off 1/32 of an inch. Stick the tool into a clip, notice where the top of the clip hits the tool and grind a flat spot there. Then notice where the bottom of the clip touches the bottom of the tool and grind a flat spot there too.
