steering volume control?

Hi, my eclipse cd8455 player has two inputs for steering wheel volume control. In the wiring booklet it does not says what kind of signal should be sent to these inputs to decrease or increase volume. Does anyone know? The two wires are brown and brown black. Thanks

Hi, I want to build a volume controller to be able to rise and lower the volume form alarm's aux channels. I just need to know what kind of signal should be sent to these wires............. is it Ground, +B, square wave, or what?
