Default Wiring HU X over and amps

Hi I am reviring my sound system. I want to add a second battery in the trunk that is going to be connected to cars’ electrical system only when ignition is in “ON” position. My question is whether I should power my Head Unit and electronic crossover from OEM battery and power my amplifiers form the battery in the trunk. Or, should I connect everything (HU, crossover, amplifier) to the battery in the trunk. Thanks.

Can I put the relay like in the diagram 1) on the attached image? If the voltage difference between 2 batteries is 5 volt and the switch is open can the current start flowing in reverse through amplifiers, head unit, and crossover bypassing the switch?

Which diagram is better? How should I wire if 2 batteries have different capacities?
