Need Help for Tube Driver
My old Butler Tube Driver-2x75W (yellow casing) just died. The problem is with the transistor the big one (motorola type). The problem is the model code has been rubbed off. Anyone have the reference of the transistor used in this amp?

Thanks.
I was advised by the supplier that they are 2SK135 and 2SJ49 but was told they are no longer in production. I wonder if yours are using the same parts. |
No mine is a PPI edition, sorry. I see those transistors on E-bay from time to time but they are always TO-3 packaged.

I'll have to look at the amp that I have. Hitachi quit making those parts a long time ago and BK Butler substituted Exicon devices to replace them. IMO they were greatly inferior to the Hitachi parts and as a result I called for closing down production of the TDs. I would recommend replacing them with the same parts, if you can find them, or spec a part yourself.

Stupid refresh button.

I may have what your looking for. The company I worked for sold and serviced them. I have 2 of the old 750's and the crossover in my car. I will look in my junk pile and see If I can help.

Can't find the Hitachi's. What would be the best substitute?
