I've started on the ESL, errh... or something?

I've started sourcing material for the upcoming esl build.
So far I have
- Transformers
- Tapes (I'll have to get some more though)
- Paint or whatever you call it for the powder coat. Grey for insulation and black for the top coat.
- A bag of miscellaneous electronics components
- Connectors and wiring
I have found
- a supplier for the perforated steel sheets.
- a powder coater
- a shop that can roll the stators to the correct curvature.
- a supplier for the diaphragm coating.
I guess it's about time to take the final plunge?
Order me some perf metal and start the build?
There is one question I'm still trying to figure out. How the h*ck do I mount the panels so they can stand on the floor?
There are plenty of examples out there but I'm not really fond of any of them. It'll probably come to me when I have the panels in front of me?

Digikey is your friend. :)
I just received a package from Digi-key.
The first roll of VHB-tape, double backed PE tape and copper foil tape have arrived.
As a little extra I took the opportunity to buy a bag of microphone capsules as well.Posted 27th April 2011 at 08:42 AM by markusA -
No real specifice suggestions. Keep in mind that an ES panel is not very heavy but it moves air and for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Thus your mounting must be sturdy, heavy, enough to resist. Even the slightest movement will degrade performance. The support for the panels and their mount must not flex and, in general, weight is good.
PE tape I assume is polyethylene tape but what's the VHB?Posted 27th April 2011 at 06:52 PM by Dennis4SB -
PE is indeed Polythene.
It looks like mounting the panel will be a challenge.
A sturdy mount isn't enough, I want it to look good as well.
I suppose the two most common options are either metal tubing or some sort of fiber board?Posted 27th April 2011 at 07:47 PM by markusA
