Lets face it: the media clinged to every half-confirmed report of someone with a fever to makes us fear the dreaded mexican flue. The Netherlands government ordered 500 million euro worth of shots at the time that it should be clear to every half-wit that this is an artificial scare. Worldwide death toll 2000, compared to, for instance, 30.000 deaths in the US alone every year from common-cold flue.
