Hello Anthony,

how we can order these parts in EU.
I don't see them available on www.class-d.com site.

regards,
Tibi

Hi Tibi

The new laterals will be released very soon.
In the last number of months since their announcement we have been organising the final design specs and where they will be
manufactured.

This has finally been sorted out and I have just received a number of the first production samples for final testing.
I am happy to say they have passed with flying colours.

In fact they have proven to be much more stable and have a
higher power capablity than all of the other laterals I have used before.

This is due to a number of changes that were done to the die mask before the silicon wafer was grown.

They should be available from the www.class-d.com site in the next month or so and will also be available from www.aussieamplifiers.com at about the same time.

anthony:
when will more detailed datasheets be available?
i'm curious about transconductance curves compared to the old hitachi parts.

thanks,

Hi Mlloyd1, mikeb

The data for these devices will delayed till later this year.
The Transconductance of these device is the same as hitachi and semelab devices.

The main difference with these devices is improved stablity with the single die N & P devices.

Also they will be quite a bit cheaper than other manufacturers.

Default lateral mosfets

Great news Anthony. How well these new N and P channel devices match? Same as old Hitachi or some improvement here as well? I believe I'll buy a number of them anyway. Pity that laterals have different pin order than other mosfets such as irfp240.

cheers,
