These New MOSFETs have been designed to be a broadspectrum
replacement for all of the available Lateral MOSFETs on the market today and to be supplied at much cheaper prices than you would normally expect to pay.
They have also been designed to handle more power than the current range of Lateral MOSFETs available on the market place.
The Single die versions are rated at 10 amps

One of the added features of these Lateral MOSFETs is the placement of an internal 15 Ohm Gate resistor.
Which is etched into the silicon die, right on the GATE.

This aids in improved stability of the device which is not found in any other lateral mosfet.

Twenty years ago I had read in some Hitachi's papers, that internal resistance of gate is ( as I remember ) about 30 Ohms, 'cos aluminium traces on die are very thin...so nothing new under the Sun, Anthony....

That my well be so but we have added an additional gate resistor
into the die its self and increased the channel width for increased current capability.

Default hexfet to Lmosfet

Hi Anthony,

Can I Use Lateral Mosfet like 2sk1058/2sj162 instead of Hexfet irfp240/irfp9240 in your av400/av800 design?

Hi Rig

Yes you could use Lateral MOSFETs in the AV400 and AV800 designs, but not with the existing PCBs.
The pinouts on the Laterals are swapped between Drain and Source.

However I will be releasing 4 x new designs based on my NX150
that are going to replace the AV400 and AV800 amplifier modules.
They will be the NX400 Synergy, NX500NL and NX800NL/NX1000NL.

All of these designs use lateral mosfets.

The NX400 uses Dual die N and P mosfets, while the NX500NL and NX800NL/NX1000NL are all N-channel designs.
