Hi,

I have a general question.
I am looking for a small, battery-driven, pocket sized amplifier, that has an external microphone (e.g. 3.5mm jack) as input and standard headphones/earphones as output.

Will a headphone amplifier work for this?
I have found many products that are meant for the hearing impaired but they often have internal microphones. I must have external.

If not a headphone amp, can someone please advise an appropriate off-the-shel product?
(Preferably no more than 60 or 70 bucks.)

Thanks.

Thanks for those suggestions.

Are you saying that the power requirements and impedance for a guitar amp are sufficient to drive a simple electret microphone?

I like the idea of the smaller one, but don't need the speaker.
I just need a microphone-in jack and a headphones-out jack.

Thanks.
