I'm seeing dead people
No...just kidding. But I am hearing things I've never heard before. I just finished the LM3875 premium kit and have been listening for only about 3 days. And I'm not going back to my old amp, an Acurus DIA-100, which was well regarded in its day. In most of my CDs, I'm hearing textures, layers, details not there before. I'm so amazed at the level of refinement.
I used a single Avel 330/25+25 tranny. I used Kimber TCSS for line-in and speakers, and I sprang for a PEC 25K pot. My question is: how much better can it get, what with break-in and a few more tweaks? How much would a Plitron add to the sonics? Will try to send some photos soon. Many thanks to Peter Daniel. |
