I recently acquired a Harmon Kardon T55C deck. It came with a disc stabilizer, which has a set of strobe lines on it. It didn't have a strobe, so I built one using the plans from Vinyl Engine:
http://www.vinylengine.com/diy_strobe.shtml I also downloaded the strobe discs from Vinyl Engine and Enjoy The Music.com. Now when I set the speed using the strobe discs from Vinyl Engine or "Enjoy The Music, the disc stabilizer shows the speed to be running slow (strobe lines go backwards). The difference is pretty slight, but definitely noticeable. So which strobe lines do I trust? pete |
