Default FYI: Machine Design Mag. Best of Web

FYI: Those of us interested in such things as turntable design and construction, tape transports, moving coil devices, heaters, coolers, sensors ... are dealing with the mechanical engineering world, the analogue world if you will.

I was looking at last months issue of Machine Design Magazine, an engineering trade journal, with the "best of the web" articles when I realized that more than half of these web sites / resources were related directly or indirectly to mechanical, analog audio device design and construction information ... so for those of you interested in such:

Machine Design ( )
Best of the Web ( )

In no particular order ... sometimes you need to "click through" the links to get to the real "meat" :

Got sensors? ( )
Stepmotor basics ( )

Mechanical music machines ( )

New online technical support for electronic components ( )

Web site for car nuts ( )

Logic gates with Lego ( )

CAD configurator for mechanical parts ( )

Machine-vision tools ( )
Heaters, sensors, and circuits ( )

How to fold paper airplanes ( )

Trackless cable configurator ( )

Cable guide ( )
Vacuum pumps and compressors ( )

Dakar Rally technology ( )

... and my favorite:
50,000 conversions available here ( >>> )

... there are a few more as well ...

Very Cool

Experience is a wonderful thing. It enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.
