Has anyone made a twin pivot, i.e. vertical movement given by twin "unipivots". It would do away with the problems regarding azimuth etc. once properly set up.
I am embarking on such a design using either a ceramic tube or a carbon beam along with a base pillar from a broken SEAC. Mass for me is not a problem as i use the stiffest mc cartridges available. Any comments or experiences will be appreciated. Thanks, Brianco. |

Hi,
Once you use two points you lose the horizontal movement so you might as well use knife edges, which is exactly what SME did. /sreten.
