So I'm deciding on a tonearm to use for my DIY TT project, and the Rega RB250 seems to be the best choice...good performance out of the box and tons of aftermarket options. My only question is, with so many versions, what's the best one to choose?
I'm trying to decide between the Origin Live OL-1 version or Michell's arm, which is a little steep @ $500 but comes with their upgraded C/W, VTA adjuster and mounting hardware. VTA adjusment is something I'd like to have, just for the flexibility (I'm going to be using a thicker platter). My budget right now can't stretch for an OL Silver, which seems to be a cool arm but just $400 too much. Thanks for any help in advance!
