Thumbs up Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

Yes you are right, it looks as though all I have to do is remove the resister for the the smaller voltage.

This is great news.

Default Money is in

Chow,
I will check my AC supply first as I think it's running about 230-238VAC from the wall. Maybe I should get one of those strobe mats, to be sure.

Anyway I'll just br happy to get it up and running.

Brett

this TT is really getting, first coming from Germany, Then motor goes to HK, now its coming down here...........

Hi everybody
That's my first post in this forum.

I use this thread to ask some informations about the TD165 motor. I've received an old TT and I want to put it in function. The first dubt is the motor - it's normal that it can be easy stopped by pressing the pulley with finger ?. I bought new belt, when I switch on the motor it make a low noise (vibrations) for 10-20 s untill it reach the nominal speed.
I mesured the resistance of the two windings : 4,2k and 5,6 kohm, can they be different or there is something wrong. I tried to change the resistor, instead of the 5,6k I tried 4,7k and 10 k (with the last it doesn't turn), the problem remains.
The pulley has 13,8 mm of diameter, should be 14,0 mm ?
I have buy a new one or this a normal behavior of the TD165 ?

That's normal behaviour. Check the platter speed with a stroboscope (there's on on the label of Kraftwerk's "Man Machine").
