Default Looking for Garrard RC110 cartridge

Hi there,

A fried of mine has a Garrard RC110 record player that appears to be missing the cartridge assembly. I'm not exactly sure if I'm using the correct terminology here... I have seen the player and to me it looks like there is nothing at all under the tonearm.

If this is correct, does anyone know the model number of the required part, and where I could find one?

Thanks in advance.

Andrew.

Hi,

Seems you need a ceramic cartridge.

Is the sort of thing you need.

Hi aoroa,

I'll let them know you're interested. The Garrard RC110 is built into a PYE Radiogram.

Hi dgb,

Thanks for the info, the guy at styli.co.nz was really helpful. I think he'll be able to provide what we need.

Best regards,

Andrew.

Thanks Andrew
I used to work at Pye making those grams.
If he doesn't want to sell it I can probably find you a new Ceramic pickup
Regards
Rod

No chance to mount a standard 1/2" cartridge? Would be cheap and better!

Ceramic carts really suck.

Have fun! Hannes

Hi,

no the input characteristics are very different - around 2V linear 2 megaohms.

The quality of the breed does vary from the truly horrendous to quite decent.

Agreed! See if you can pick up a Decca Deram - genuine hi-fi ceramics, and stylii are still available very reasonably.
