Default Thorens td150 & SME 3009

I´m thinking of buying a Thorens td150 equiped with a SME 3009 arm.
Any thoughts to this? Good combination or ...?
Or.. should i replace the SME with my Rega RB300 ?

thanx in advance

Arm choice tends to be dictated more by cartridge. Having said that, fitting an RB300 to a TD150 will not be trivial.

Do not replace the SME 3009 with Rega. I think the SME 3009 (if II or R) is a superior arm. But that's not relevant here. What is is that the Rega is too heavy for the TD-150. The SME 3009/3012 and floating suspension Thorens are a perfect match.

I agree with phn, dont replace the SME.With the TD150 make a wonderful combination able to take high performance cartridges without any problem.Just sit and enjoy your music lucky you.
