Hi All
I was looking at Audio Technica OC9MLII specs at
http://www.lpgear.com/Merchant2/mer...Code=LG&Product_Code=ATC01&Category_Code=XMAS
I found two compliances listed: dynamic and static.
Never seen such a distinction before.
Could anybody recommend which one should I use for tonearm/cartridge resonant frequency calculation?
Regards, Irakli

You need the Dynamic Compliance as measured at 10 Hz, since with most arms you'll end up with a resonance f in this neighbourhood.
Sadly, most manufacturers specify it at 100Hz, including AT. This is a useless spec.
The compliance at 10Hz will be somewhere between the static one and the dynamic one at 100Hz. For the AT it lies probably around 18 cu.
