I have an intermittant problem when playing at 33 on my Thorens TD 160 -- I get a continuous low but noticable knocking sound coming from the motor pulley. There is no problem playing at 45.
Has anyone else experienced this with a Thorens? |

If you lift the main turntable off and start the turntable, you'll see the motor, pully and belt driving the inner turntable. If the pully is wobbling, that's the culprit. You can try and straighten it, but you'll probably need a new motor.
