Well, IMO each material has its own sonic signature...
Personally, I never liked MDF's s. sign.....
It sounds noisy....
A kind of dirt or something in sound...
But I think it stays soft.

About plexiglass, I think it sounds clearer and sweeter.
And the detail also I think it's better...
So I prefer that !

All this material talking is only about armboards....

Perhaps in the future I'll try a few other materials, like teflon...!!!
