Does anyone any info on the Empire 2004 cartridge ?
I can find information of many other Empire cartridges, except this one! Is it high/med/low compliance ? Is it good ? |

Hi,
checkout mantra-audio.co.uk, they have some 4000's for sale and a table of technical specifications, don't think they list the compliance but I'd say high, i.e. lowish mass arm is needed. /sreten.

so the 4000 is the same as 2004 ? although the 4000 are quad/4-ch artridges and the 200x and regular two channel.
the only other info I found was this ebay item listing by Ed Saunders. Quite a few tech specs which he claims to be 'measured' by the test setup shown in the auction listing. - http://cgi.ebay.com/EMPIRE-2004-AUDI...QQcmdZViewItem (or search for item# 9739468097) |

The output is 4.2mv and the complience is 18 x 10-6 as per the instruction speet
packed with it. Now my question what is one of these worth ? I just picked up one of these at an estate sale still in the box and sort of wonder what to ask for one if I offered it for sale is it a decent cartrige or a piece of junk ect. |

Check and see if that cartridge is in the vinylengine database, possibly someone there might be familiar with it.
