I have a technics SL-1210 Mk2 which seems to have developed a pitch problem.
It runs and keeps a steady pitch fine ands handles small movements of the pitch fader ok, but if you move the pitch fader fairly drastically, say +-4% in one quick movement, or slow down the platter with your finger against the edge then it takes 2-3 seconds to lock back on pitch and you can see the strobe dots wobbling backwards and forwards until it locks steady again.
Since this happens regardless of the position of the pitch control (and more importantly at 0% when the pitch control is bypassed) I'd think it's more likely something gone on the main board rather than the pitch fader.
Any advice as to where I should start looking???
