Hello All!!
I need to get the schematics for a systemdek powersupply. If not that then at least the values for the caps in it. I believe the two main ones are 1000v .1 uf and there is one other that I can not get a value on. To make it even worse I have lost the original parts. Help is appreciated. Thanks |

Its actually 4 caps. Three in the original are:
.01 uf of 1000v(2) and one is 600V. The other two cap is .18uf of 600v. There is no reason the circuit should come close to 600volts as it is just mains supply and 400volt replacements are fine. |

Hi,
normally mains caps are X or Y rated. These are usually for interference suppression. They are also self healing to allow for the numerous spikes that enter you house wiring. I suspect the designer chose 1000V to give a bit more reliability at the values for which he could not get X rated (line to line). I think X2 or Y1 (line to earth) 10nF (0.01uF) would be suitable.
