During this weekend, I'm building an upgrade mounting platform for my new Tecnodec turtable. Inspired from the Roksan upgrade platform, see:

http://www.everestaudio.com/price-pages/Roksan-Xerxes-TMS-Upgrade-Plinth.htm

The purpose of this plinth is to support the table and its motor, to lift the table and by clearing the arm mount section, to give an easy access to the VTA nut adjustement. I will also terminate the Cardas upgrade tonearm wires to a Cardas type RCA connectors mounting block. Then I'll be able to use my choice of tonearm interconnect wires, see for an example:

http://www.takefiveaudio.com/mall/Turntable_Tonearm_Connectors/cardas_phono_box_cpib.html

I'll build my own alu mounting block and buy only the Cardas RCA connectors.

My Upgrade Power supply will seat on the side of the platform, see: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=62049&perpage=10&pagenumber=3

My version is a laminate of two high quality birch plywood layers(0.75" and 0.5" = 1.25" total) + 1/2" of MDF on the bottom and finally a layer of 1/32" aluminium.

The aluminium is brushed then alodined.

Everything is glued together under pressure, here the assembly

The bottom MDF layer has 5 holes in it. It can install 4 feet at each corner or 3, two on front and one in the rear.

The feet can be use to level the platform. A bulb lever will be mounted on the platform.

The feet will be terminated by brass cones.

The adjustable feet screw into T-Nuts mounted on the inside of the MDF layer, here a detail

should work very well, nearly identical construction to a plinth I built for some Thorens TD-16x hardware I salvaged. The only difference is that I crammed a layer of cork into the sandwich. Sounds great. I like the look of open multi-ply, I'm reworking most of my gear to carry that theme through-out. "It's like Sweden, Jerry! Sweeeeden!!"
