Hi, I am new to the forum and to the world of vinyl. I found an Empire 208 turntable at my Grandfathers, and he said he never used it, and that I could have it. I've always like the sound of vinyl records, and I would like to get this turntable working. I read online somewhere that this turntable is pretty sweet, and is a good place to start. However, I don't know a good tonearm from a bad one, or what kind of tonearm I need. It has one now, but I don't know a thing about it. If anyone could point me in the right direction to finding out more about this sort of thing I would really appreciate it. I'm on an extreme budget, but I would like to give this a good go. Thank you very much,
Tom |
