ok, I am doing an mc phonostage, i have the first stage worked out, its going to use an lt1028, with passive riaa.

(or if anyone has alternative ic's please inform)

I am wondering about the 2nd stage though, the design is going to have a dual op-amp, reason will be clear later, so anyone with suggestions, this one will be the final stage, so those are the requirements.

thanks in advance, John

Hi,
the final 75uS time constant (100r & 750nF) could be a passive after the last output opamp. Ensures roll off to infinity and minimises noise from earlier stages and simplifies the passive RIAA calculations.
Have you tried separating each time constant and placing it between active stages?
The new RIAA seems to roll off bass too early. I suggest new RIAA switchable to a larger RC and switchable to old RIAA.
I prefer old Riaa without any Bass roll-off even with my vented bass units.
