Default skewed cantilever

Last week I received a brand new Benz Micro Silver high output MC only to find it has a skewed cantilever ( my guess is somewhere between 2.5 and 5 degrees). I reported this to the seller and I was told that this is within spec and should sound ok.
Is this true? I would think that even though this is one of the cheaper carts from Benz it should be possible for a company like Benz to keep to tighter tolerances.

I agree. Over the years I've seen loads of cartridges/styli, and never seen one with a skewed cantilever. If the cantilever is skewed, then either it's fitted incorrectly to the coil/generator mechanism, or the coil generator mechanism is not sitting squarely on the bearing. Both will cause distortion.
