Replace A1231N in tuner?
I have an Akai ak-t02 tuner, that doesn't give out much sound. Only if I turn up the amplifier full I can hear something. By the sound and looks of it, tuning and tracking is okay, so I guess it is stuck in 'mute' mode. Therefore, I suspect the a1231n IC. But from searching Sanyo's site I guess that this IC is long obsolete; only some very poor datasheet in Japanese remains.
- Is it likely that this IC is the troublemaker?
- Can I find it somewhere?
- If not, can I use something else, like LA1235?
- Would I need to change things? The resistor values are not exactly as on the LA1235 datasheet (but not very much unlike it either)
Thanks for you input,
