Hi again Bernhard,
Well, the V15 gluing project got set aside for a couple of reasons: 1. Sure enough, the suspension worked pretty well after saturation with silicone spray, then quickly went completely soft. Like almost no suspension. I can only find type III replacement stylii, and at $60 or so, except the Asian-made ones - just about what I paid for the cartridge. Anyone have experience with the cheap type III stylus? Worth trying? 2. I got my first DL-103 cartridge, and haven't looked back yet. Just a marvelous cartridge, and at $110, an unthinkable bargain. But speaking of DIY projects, I'd love to try something different from my LP Labs cabon-upgraded WTA. Something homemade and a little out there. Cam |
