Awesome Yard Sale Find!
I still can not believe it. Was out with the wife today- going to yard sales. Came across a Linn Sondek LP12 at a Yard Sale. Lady was selling it cheap - because it had no "NEEDLE". Has Akita Arm. Plinth is a LITTLE scratched on the front, and dust cover has a couple of minor nicks. Overall about 7/10. Functions perfectly though. Am listening to Sade on 180 Gram now. Put a Grace F9F on it right now.. Will change it again later.. maybe.. This thing is wonderful.. Lady wanted $10.00 my wife got her down to $5. Not bad. Not bad at all! Yippeee! Yippeee! Yippee!

I too found a good deal today..A pair of Magnepan MGs for $18 at goodwill. Brought them home, hooked them up and voila!!!! Other than one small hole in burlap grille cloth they're perfect!!!

Great to find bargains like that Im still looking for that 67 gt500 in someones barn, but shame on you for talking her down like that...whats it worth $500 or more

I was already reaching for $10, then my wife butted in and asked for $5. She does that on everything!. The lady selling the TT agreed quick enough.. So I guess all is well. These tables are selling between 2000 and 4000 on ebay.. with lower quality arms.
I did real good!! Needless to say.. I will be going to more yard sales with my wife.. oh yeah this table is for sale. Asking price only $10 .. but shipping will cost you $3500. No Local Pick Ups Please!!! Just joking.. No selling these babies.. Will get pictures as soon as I can. Still so ecited that I found this turn table! Jeff

i wish i had the time to goto yard sales. i work fridays and saturdays, so i just cant get out to them.
i remember someone was giving away a pair of old altec lansing speakers, for anyone who could take them away. they needed reconing on one, but the other was fine, and the cabinets were great. |
