Hi,
http://www.audio-consulting.ch/LCRRIAA.htm
Has anyone tried this type of approach? I'm new to turntables, looking at getting one soon, I always favour minimalist approaches (I know there are disadvantages etc). As I don't know much about cartridges etc, what kind of cartridge would give the required ouput to use this kind of riaa circuit, I assume a step up tranny would have to be used prior ?
Thanks
Raja

Though simple a little demanding to implement since the LCR network must either be driven from a 600 ohm source impedance or be driven from a source capable of driving a 600 ohm load impedance. Deviation from 600 ohms will cause deviation from RIAA accuracy.

To make life easier S&B are developing a 10k version.
BTW the product description was written by Thorsten Loesch who has successfully implemented an EQ600 phono pre using a pentode input valve (E810F/7788). The 2nd stage can be a triode connected E810F, a 6S45P/6S45pi or similar for a 2-valve circuit implementation. For MC cartridges a step-up transformer would be required at the input.
