i'm having trouble setting up my record player w/ an nad preamp. It has a phono stage, but there are multiple settings on the back, and i don't know which ones to choose. These settings are switches: first either mm or mc (not sure which, but the turntable is a philips), and the second says either 100p, 220p, or 320p. Which choices would be right for this record player?? Unfortunately i don't have manuals for either! :xeye: Many thanks!

Dave

Its completely likely that only the MM setting will be appropriate.

For the capacitive loading you should start with 100p.
You can try the other two settings without harm, they will
effect extreme treble response and you should choose the
best sounding setting by ear, the effect is very dependent
on the cartridge fitted to the turntable and the turntables
lead capacitance, if this is high there will be barely any
difference between the 100p and 200p settings.

:) sreten.
