If it is on the left channel from the cartridge then it must be either a cartridge fault or something mechanical. If it is on the left channel of the arm wiring then it may be electrical, although difficult to imagine what could cause it. If it is on the left channel of the phono preamp then it is electrical. Hence important to determine the source of the problem. You can't solve a problem until you know where it is.
